How far ahead should I book?
Five to nine days covers most weeks. Saturdays fill first and usually need a fortnight's notice. If you need something sooner, say so in your request — cancellations reopen most mornings and we work through requests in the order they arrived.
I don't know what to ask for. Is that a problem?
No, and you don't need a photograph either. Come in with what you dislike about the current cut — too heavy at the sides, won't sit down in the morning, grows out badly after three weeks — and the consultation will get to a shape from there.
Do you cut curly, coarse and Afro-textured hair?
Yes. Curls are cut dry or damp rather than stretched flat, and coarse hair is graded with the growth pattern instead of against it. Idris takes most curly bookings and Marnie handles coarse hair and line-ups, so mention your hair type in the request and we will match the chair.
Can I bring a child?
Please do. The First Cut appointment uses the quiet chair by the window, scissors only unless a guardian asks otherwise, and we stop whenever a break is needed. Children stay in the room with a guardian for the whole appointment.
What happens if I'm late or need to cancel?
Up to ten minutes late is usually absorbed. Beyond that we may need to shorten the finish or move you, because the next chair is already promised. Cancelling is free with a day's notice; just reply to your confirmation so the slot can be reopened.
How long should I leave between visits?
Skin fades look sharp for about two weeks and tidy for four. Scissor cuts hold five to seven weeks, and longer shapes can stretch to nine. You'll get a realistic return window on your card, and it's advice rather than a subscription.
